Girona midfielder Donny van de Gea has refused to criticise his former club Manchester United despite spending nearly four years at Old Trafford having suffered the worst spell of his career.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Red Devils from Ajax Amsterdam in 2020 for £35million, but has struggled to replicate the form he enjoyed with Ajax and has struggled with recurring injuries.
Van de was also loaned out to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt, but he eventually had to leave the Theatre of Dreams to seek a new career opportunity, moving to Girona. However, almost two months have passed and the player has yet to make an impact.
